Charles Osagie reports that in line with the UN global theme, "A Skilled Girl Force", Heal For Africa Initiative visited over 700 girls at St. Monica's College Kabba with the Pay Attention To Her (PATH) Project, to empower the young girls mentally, as well as promoting sexual, reproductive health and rights.

The NGO's Chairman Board of Trustees, who doubles as the Chief Press Secretary to Kogi State Governor, also an advocate for pregnant women and premature babies, Mrs. Petra Akinti Onyegbule spoke extensively on self esteem and building confidence as a girl child. With inspiring stories, she emphasized on the need to build their capacity and acquire skills for employability. The BOT Chairman brilliantly captured the PATH Project theme and the UN global theme of the 2018 girl child day.

She also widened their knowledge about the implications of poor menstrual hygiene to their reproductive health, how they can better cater for themselves and be free of distractions emanating from ill health and how it translates into better self perception and self esteem which enhances their functioning.
