The christmas hang out recorded almost 300 participants majorly children, was filled with excitement as Santa Claus was on ground to welcome the kids into the Paparanda Square.
A nine year old primary five Miss Jennifer an educational scholarship for winning a dance competition. A male orphan who has no means to get any education will now be sponsored till his university. Another scholarship award was given to another participant for her active involvement during the quiz session. All invited guests brought something along to thrill the kids.
There were lots of merrymaking activities, food, drinks, snacks, souvenirs and a beautiful Christmas cake. 200 children received a dose of chewable Albendazole tablets ( Mass Deworming session)

heal the slums 2.0
The 2nd edition of #HealTheSlums themed “The Love Fest” in commemoration of St. Valentine’s day where over 500 locals in the area were beneficiaries.
Branded notebooks, school sandals, socks, pencils, pens were distributed to about 200 kids. They also received chewable Albendazole deworming tablets.
The widows, married and pregnant women had raw rice, groundnut oil and some other basic cooking ingredient as their take home packages. The young men weren't left out as beneficiaries of the outreach as they got food items to take home too.
The Adankolo Invasion was proudly supported by Buka Delish, Crest Karaoke Bar, Evergreen Initiative, Tehillah Shelter Foundation and National Youth Council of Nigeria Kogi State Chapter, amongst other good spirited individuals.

HEAL THE SLUMS 3.0
The third edition themed “The EID funfair” to celebrate Sallah with over 200 Children in the Madabo community, in Lokoja, Kogi State. We also gave out foodstuffs, Diapers, Toiletries etc to the Women and even the men were not left out.
Over 200 children were fed, 30 women given foodstuffs, even the men were not left out. There was enough items for everybody. The children also received school stationary and gift items. A mass deworming session was also carried out.

HEAL THE SLUMS 4.0
This edition was themed “Christmas in the hood fiesta” to mark 2018 chirstmas celebration. The Heal Tribe cleaned a street, fed over 300 children and distributed foodstuffs to 100 women in Lokoja to mark this year's Christmas celebration. Further highlights of the event were body painting, music and dance, dancing competition among the children and refreshments among others.
Our special guest, The Secretary to Kogi State Government (SSG), Dr Afolashade Ayoade, who flagged off the distribution of items, commended the NGO for reaching out to the less privileged people at the grassroots. Ayoade urged other groups, wealthy individuals and organizations to emulate such kindness by showing love and care for the poor in the society.
